Someone please give tell me how the squat switch works on a C172RG.

Just remember that a squat switch doesn't constitute a reason to experiment retracting the gear on the ground!

Yes hellllo I'm here.

A squat switch is a device that prevents the landing gear from coming up while on the ground. The electric landing gear pump will only operate if the current is sent from the primary electric bus through the squat switch and then to the pump. When the weight of the aircraft is on the landing gear's oleo strut, the strut is compressed. In this position the switch is open and the electrical connection the pump is broken.
