I took my Private pilot checkride today and PASSED. The wind was calm and my nerves were jumping, but I somehow managed to pass. I felt I did "OK" on the oral portion. The examiner walked me through a number of questions. He was impressed with my use of VORs on my cross country instead of using a straight line from point A to B and finding check points along that route. Instead I used VORs and used checkpoints along those routes to give myself a backup.
